Artists may participate in one or both days

About Winterville: Winterville, Georgia in Clarke County is known to many as a classic railroad town. In the 1830’s Georgia’s earliest railroad tracks included a route from Union Point in Green County to Athens. Along this route sprang the town of Winterville. Freight shipments via the Georgia Railroad continued to travel the route through Winterville until 1984. Winterville is now a town of vintage homes and a growing art community.

We invite you to come and share the beauty of our town by participating in the 1st Annual Plein Air Painting event.

About the Instructor, Brenda Pinnick

Brenda is a lifelong artist who now works exclusively as a painter. She paints en plein air and also loves floral still, both inside and outside. As she states “Color and light are my passion! I have a wide interest in subject matter including everyday scenes from life. I love a dirty back alley as much as I love a sunset over the ocean. It really is all about the light and atmosphere and capturing the sense of place and time”.

Brenda is a nationally recognized artist and highly sought instructor for workshops. To see her work visit her website at https://BrendaPinnick.com.The workshop is limited to 16 participants. The workshop includes live demos by the artist. Please bring your own plein air equipment, supports and medium. Brenda will discuss composition, lay out the pallet, proper use of materials and all other aspects of plein air painting. After her demos you will paint individually with Brenda circulating among the artists helping solve individual issues.
